YOU HAVE QUESTIONS. WE HAVE ANSWERS.

The Boise Bike Bar is unique, so you probably have questions. We are not just a bike rental company in Boise, Idaho. We are a scenic bike tour in Boise buzzing by pedals to pints around the city!

If we don’t answer your questions below, please feel free to contact us to get more information.

1. HOW LONG IS YOR SEASON?

Since 2011 we forge on rain or shine except in snow. Yes, we travel year- round. Thanks to the Boise State Students we stay busy in the winter!

2. WHAT DAYS DO YOU OPERATE?

We operate the bike bars by appointment only 7 days a week! Don’t see the time your want, text us 208-941-4919 and let’s squeeze your party in!

3. WHAT ARE YOUR TOUR TIMES?

We can do anytime within reason! Sometimes big events mean better time panning!
However, the most popular times are 12-2 pm, 2-4 pm, 4-6 pm, 6-8 pm, 8-10 pm OR 11-1 pm, 1-3 pm, 3-5pm, 5-7pm, or 7-9 pm depending what we have already scheduled we will try to make the best of timing!

4. HOW LONG ARE YOUR TOURS?

Standard is 2 hours, but we can make just about any event work! Just holler!

5. HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN YOUR BIKE HOLD?

We require at least 8 minimum pedaling passengers up to maximum 15 people. Groups with fewer than 8 people will have to reschedule. If this happens within 72 hours of the tour a $50 fee will apply to use your deposit within one year. Groups with more than 15 on one bike will not begin until the group is split up to accommodate capacity.

6. WHERE DO WE GET PICKED UP?

S 4th Street and W Grove Street unless previously communicated and agreed upon at least one week before your tour. This is right in the heart of downtown and lots of paid parking is available.

7. DO YOU HAVE SPECIFIC ROUTES?

No there are no specific routes because every party is different and road closures, conditions and time all matter when touring the bike. If you have specific places you would like to see, please let the captain know beforehand so you can make a plan together.

8. WHAT IS THE COST?

)$135 per hour plus tax. Standard 2 hour tour is the more inexpensive in town $286.20 about $10 per person per hour on a full bike. Sunday- Thursday it is only $125 an hour for a total of $265 for 2 hours! ALMOST $50 CHEAPER than our competitors!

9. HOW DO WE MAKE A RESERVATION?

“BOOK NOW” through this website to get the time your want online. If you don’t see the time your looking for text 208-941-4919 for more availability on one of our bikes!

10. DO YOU SELL GIFT CERTIFICATES?

Yes we do. Please email for details.

11. DO YOU MAKE DONATIONS TO CHARITABLE NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS?

Due to the overwhelming response for donations each week, we will consider donations, but please email for details including your official non-profit proof of your IRS 501-c3

12. IS ALCOHOL ALLOWED ONBOARD?

Yes, but beer and wine only. No distilled spirits are allowed!

RULES REGARDING ALCOHOL:
1. YES, beer, wine or anything bought from an Idaho Grocery Store.
2. Bring your own beer/wine please no glass bottles of beer onboard.
3. You are only allowed to consume alcohol when you are physically on the bike. Since the City of Boise has open container laws, you may be issued a citation if you step off of your bike with open containers of alcohol.
4. If you have alcohol on board, there are no minors allowed. You can have one or the other, but not both.

13. DO ALL RIDERS NEED TO BE 21 YEARS OF AGE?

If there is alcohol onboard, yes everyone must be 21+!
If you plan to do a family tour, we are unable to have anyone under the age of 16 do to laws and regulations of minors. If you would like more information please contact us.

14. ARE KEGS ALLOWED ONBOARD?

Due to their excessive weight, full-sized kegs are not allowed. However, smaller pony-sized kegs are allowed.

15. IS FOOD ALLOWED ON THE BIKE?

Yes, light snacks are allowed. However, since the bike is constantly turning, things are constantly sliding…so please limit your snacks to dry and easy-to-clean items.

16. CAN I SIMPLY HOP ON WHEN I SEE THE SOCIALLY GEARED BIKE ROLLING BY?

NO!

All tours are private tours and all customers have signed liability waivers prior to starting the tour.

17. DO WE TIP THE DRIVER?

Tips are always appreciated. If you enjoyed your ride, please tip your guide.

18. WHAT IS YOUR CANCELATION POLICY?

We do not do cash refunds, however we do offer a one year rain check to use your deposit for a future event! If you need to reschedule, no worries. However if you reschedule within 72 hours of your tour time, we will charge a $40 reschedule fee to rebook.

19. I DO NOT HAVE 8 PEOPLE IN MY GROUP. CAN WE STILL GO?

NO!

Through many years of experience we have learned that the Socially Geared bike requires a minimum of 8 people to power the bike. Since our bike is rather heavy, groups with fewer than 8 people have to work exceptionally hard. And no one enjoys that.

Again, groups with fewer than 8 people will be canceled with NO REFUND & NO RE-SCHEDULING.

NO EXCEPTIONS!

20. WHERE DO WE PARK?

There are several paid lots and free parking near South 4th Street and West Grove Street. Download Park Mobile and your able to reserve online!

21. WHAT IF WE ARE NOT BACK ON TIME?

Your captain will guide you on time back to the ending location. If your group abandons the bike or is unable to get to your location we will charge a fee of $100 for tour abandonment.

22. DO YOUR PROCEED IN THE RAIN?

Answer, “Rain is a goof thing!” – Luke Bryan. Yes, we forge on rain or shine. However; if you are concerned about the weather we can discuss at least 24 hours ahead of time to make arrangements for your tour.
